Winery Kolarić

Come for the coupage of local endemic varieties, and stay for the Pinot Grigio

Kolarić winery is a 40-minute drive from the Zagreb city center. In their cellars, you can find riesling, chardonnay, pinot noir, pinot grigio, and a bunch of old endemic grapes like Šipelj, Belina, Žuti Plavec, and Kraljevina that used to be cultivated in every vineyard of the region.

Their current focus is the production of Pinot Grigio, which they are single handedly bringing back as one of the great Croatian wines. Besides Pinot Grigio, Kolarić is successful in making great rose and white sparkling wines, and interesting skin-contact whites using Pinot Grigio and riesling grapes and aging in Georgian amphorae.

Visitors are welcome to stay for a few days since Kolarić winery offers three-star accommodation at the location.
