New Michelin Masterclass Workshop Held for Zagreb Chefs

On Tuesday, December 3, the second exclusive Michelin Masterclass workshop for Zagreb chefs was held at the Noel restaurant. This workshop is part of Michelin's initiative to raise gastronomic standards and brought together selected chefs from Zagreb who had the opportunity to learn from the best.

The workshop was organized in collaboration with the Zagreb Tourist Board (ZTB) and the renowned Michelin gastronomic guide.

The session was led by Chef Emanuele Scarello from the two-Michelin-starred restaurant Agli Amici. Chef Scarello introduced the attending chefs to techniques and philosophies behind Michelin cuisine, emphasizing innovation, ingredient quality, and sustainability in gastronomy.

At the beginning of the workshop, Martina Bienenfeld, CEO of the Zagreb Tourist Board, welcomed the attendees, stating:
“Gastronomy is a key segment of Zagreb's tourism, highlighting the authenticity of our destination and attracting tourists from around the world. ZTB actively promotes Zagreb's gastronomic scene and collaborates with prestigious guides such as Michelin, which chose to host its first Masterclass workshop outside France here in Zagreb last September. This further establishes our city as an authentic culinary destination that inspires and sets trends. I am particularly pleased that other cities in Croatia have followed our example in organizing such events, contributing to the joint effort to build Croatia's reputation as a top-notch gastronomic destination. I thank Michelin, Chef Scarello, and the team at Noel restaurant, led by Chef Mandarić, for their excellent cooperation, and I look forward to future projects where we will continue to promote sustainable development and Zagreb's gastronomy.”

As a reminder, last year, the first Michelin Masterclass workshop in Zagreb was held at the Dubravkin Put restaurant. This year's event at Noel highlights the dynamism and potential of Zagreb's gastronomy, paving the way for new international collaborations and further positioning the city on the global culinary map.
