One of the oldest specialized wine bars in Zagreb is on Frankopanska street, which you cannot avoid if you walk the centre.

Beautiful, comfortable space decorated with wine imagery and themes. Owned and run by a sommelier and educator known for her positive outlook – Jelena Šimić Valentić.

The menu is not large, but it is well thought out and often changes while covering some of the best Croatian and most important international wines. Besides wine, Pupitres offers a choice of spirits and quality snacks like prosciutto, cheese, bruschetta, smoked fish, and the like.

Service is pleasant and looking after the guest, well trained and flexible about popping open bottles that are not on the official menu.

Background music accents the easy-going atmosphere.
